ウィレム・デ・クーニング（ブリジストン美術館） Willem de Kooning (Bridgestone Museum of Art)

油彩画は、10点ほどの小規模な展覧会だったが、実に面白かった。

ほとんどは、デ・クーニングが女性を描いた作品。

そこから、多くのインスピレーションを得た。

デ・クーニングが描く女性は、古代のふくよかな女性像を連想する。男性が抱き続ける、永遠の女性像が、そこには表現されている。

表面の美しさの裏側に秘められた、女性の圧倒的な、そして破壊的な力。

デ・クーニングのカンバスの中では、その力が爆発していた。

荒々しいタッチは、東洋の書道の筆さばきを思い起こさせる。画家のその時の感情が、そのまま刻印されている。

また、ところどころに、デ・クーニングのユーモアなども感じられて、その多面的な世界を満喫した。
