原美術館の開館35周年を記念する、コレクション展。
原美術館を代表する、李禹煥の作品。今回は、点より、線より、対話が2点、合わせて4点がギャラリーIIに展示されている。
それぞれの作品は、造形的には単純だ。線より、という作品は、キャンバスの上から、太い筆で線が下に引かれている。それが、同じようにずっと繰り返されている。
しかし、どうしても、すぐに作品から離れられずに、それぞれの作品に見入ってしまう。ちょうど、2作品づつが、部屋の向かい側に展示しており、離れたり、近づいたり、振り返ったり、といった感じになる。
常設展示の奈良美智のわたしの部屋。文字通り、部屋の中に、奈良美智の犬の作品や、置物、壁には、様々なポスターが貼られている。
これまで、企画展でこの美術館に訪れた際は、あまりじっくりとは見なかったが、今回は、しばらくその部屋の風景を眺めてみた。
奈良美智の独特な世界観も感じるが、普通の中高校生女子、あるいは、一人暮らしの女性なら、こんな部屋になっていてもおかしくない気もする。
自分の価値観を大事にすることの大切さを、強く訴えてくる作品だ。
この美術館は、現代美術の本当の力を感じさせてくれる、数少ない場所のひとつ。
これからも、魅力的な展覧会を期待したい。
