磯崎新の”建築外的思考”をテーマにした、ワタリウムでの展覧会。

磯崎新の建築は、よく行く、東京オペラシティの印象が強い。それは、もともとは、新宿の新都庁のコンペ案がもとになっている。

それにしても、この建築家の活動範囲の広さには、やはり圧倒された。

パンフレットに書かれた磯崎の文章には、磯崎の中国の文人文化に対する憧れが記されている。

4階には、旅のスケッチブックが展示されていた。磯崎は、若い頃は旅の記録を写真に残していたが、いつからか、写真でなく、スケッチを描くようになったという。

写真よりは、スケッチの方が、あきらかに文人的だ。

磯崎は、1991年から2003年まで、浅田彰、デリダ、コールハースらと、毎年、世界各地で国際会議を開催し、様々なテーマを議論していた。

その会議の映像も紹介されていた。

磯崎新のいう、”建築外的思考”がどんなものか。そうした展示から、ほのかに見えてきたような気がした。
